Sia- Breathe me
I really like this song as it has a deep slow lullaby like rhythm to it. i think it would go well with the ending scene of our film where the characters names come up. I

Sound
-Non-diagetic sound
Research:
Sound whose source is neither visible on the screen nor has been implied to be present in the action:
narrator's commentary
sound effects which is added for the dramatic effect
mood music
Non-diegetic sound is represented as coming from the a source outside story space.
The distinction between diegetic or non-diegetic sound depends on our understanding of the conventions of film viewing and listening. We know of that certain sounds are represented as coming from the story world, while others are represented as coming from outside the space of the story events. A play with diegetic and non-diegetic conventions can be used to create ambiguity (horror), or to surprise the audience (comedy).
Another term for non-diegetic sound is commentary sound.
We will be using non diagetic soundtracks in our film to create an atmosphere more surrealistically, where the audience will zone out of reality and fade in to the films nature by using the soundtrack along with their own imagination. I think using sad and slow tempo songs will also help bring out the genre of the film aswell as the storyline revolves around Lola who is realistically dead but does not know yet along with the audience until the end after the climax has reached its limits.
-Diagetic sound
Research:
Diegetic sound. Sound whose source is visible on the screen or whose source is implied to be present by the action of the film: voices of characters. sounds made by objects in the story. music represented as coming from instruments in the story space
We will also be using diagetic sounds in our film to make the nature of the film seem natural to the audience as without the diagetic sounds the film would not look realistic and the audience will not be captured and feel dazed into the film. The types of diagetic sounds that we will be using are phone ringtones, and the parents arguing from inside the house etc. I do believe that sounds will take a great significance in our film as it will help us in hinting out that something is not right with Lola and hopefully the audience will come to realise eventually with the help of the sounds used.
-Sound effects
Research:
Sound effects or audio effects are artificially created or enhanced sounds, or sound processes used to emphasize artistic or other content of films, television shows, live performance, animation, video games, music, or other media. In motion picture and television production, a sound effect is a sound recorded and presented to make a specific storytelling or creative point without the use of dialogue or music. The term often refers to a process applied to a recording, without necessarily referring to the recording itself. In professional motion picture and television production, dialogue, music, and sound effects recordings are treated as separate elements. Dialogue and music recordings are never referred to as sound effects, even though the processes applied to them, such as reverberation or flanging effects, often are called "sound effects".
In our film we decided as a group that using a heart monitor machine sound effect for the beginning section of our film will be really intriguing and the audience will feel anxious to find out whose heart beat they are listening to. We will figure out more sound effects to use once we complete the screen shots because then we’ll know when we’ll need a sound effect to exaggerate the scene or let the audience’s imagination figure what’s going itself. I do believe that using really good sound effects will make our film more realistic and optimistic.
