Hospital

The first scene will be the hospital room scene where Lola wakes up in a hospital bed and see's her best friend Hannah. This scene will be filmed in the health room at Barnsley college as it looks very realistic to a hospital. The room has props such as a hospital bed, a drip and a bedside table. We used this particular location in our film last year and received good feedback from the views saying 'it looked very realistic' therefore that also encouraged us to use this particular location again this year.

Stairs
In our film, there is a scene in which Lola and Hannah are shown running down a staircase in the hospital in their attempt to run away for the day. This will be filmed on the back staircase at Barnsley college. In college, there are two staircases, one at the front of the building and one at the back. In our film, we will be using the back staircase as it's quieter and more discreet therefore we will not be interrupted. Also, due to the staircase being a lot quieter, it will create a more hollow sound when Lola and Hannah are talking, allowing their voices to be projected.

 

 

Street corner
In our film, there is a brief scene in which Lola and Hannah decide what they are going to do after they had snuck out from the hospital, they then decide that they will go and surprise Lola's boyfriend. Lola then tells Hannah she would like to pop home to get changed first. Therefore this scene will be filmed quite local to Lola's house which will be on a street corner on Hough lane.

Lola's house
The next scene is when Lola and Hannah go back to Lola's house. This will be filmed at Jessica Shutt's house. We thought that my house would be suitable for the filming as it is very close to Tom's house ( which will be filmed in Demi Cash's house) and also the accident scene. This will be helpful as it can allow the audience to adapt to the surroundings and become more aware of the locations used in the film. Shots of the outside of Lola's house will be used alongside shots of the front room, dining room and the garden.

Accident scene
The accident scene will be filmed on Collingridge Road at the back of Wombwell swimming baths. It is a quiet area therefore we will not be disturbed by passing cars and pedestrians which ultimately means the sound will be better quality as little background noise will interfere with the filming. In this scene we will use props such as flowers and candles around a lamppost to create a more realistic accident scene.

Toms house
 Toms house will be filmed at Demi Cash's house. This is very Local to Lola's house which will make it easier to transfer the camera equipment. Demi's house is  also very ideal for this particular scene as Lola looks through Toms window to see why he's not answering the door, her house has an easily accessible view from the window to the living room where Tom will be sitting with the psychiatrist which will mean that we can get good shots of Lola looking in the house.
